On the threshold

I’ve always been drawn to churches… perhaps because they had, for me as a child, a scent of the forbidden.

Not that my parents forbade me from entering, but we weren’t believers… so beyond architectural curiosity, these buildings meant nothing to us.

Today, I no longer stay on the threshold. I love admiring the work of the builders, the play of light through the stained glass windows, and finding solace within…
